The UAS is a community-based initiative developed to improve social and economic opportunities of Aboriginal people living in urban Regina. We are a volunteer committee fused by passion for our community. We strive to make a positive difference. Each year the committee holds a strategic planning session to guide their work.

Urban Aboriginal Strategy – Backgrounder

The Urban Aboriginal Strategy (UAS) was first developed in 1997, to help respond to the needs facing Aboriginal people living in key urban centres. Through the UAS, the Government of Canada seeks to partner with other governments, community organizations and Aboriginal people to support projects that respond to local priorities.
